Safety Alert - Assault Reported on Laguna Hills Trail

Always be aware of your surroundings on the trail, and be sure to never hike alone.  Keep safe out there!
Man reports assault on Laguna Hills trail
Two men assaulted and robbed a man walking along a trail Sunday night.

LAGUNA HILLS – Two men assaulted and robbed a 29-year-old man along a bike trail Sunday night, authorities said.
Deputies went to the trail, near Via Lomas and Alicia Parkway, just after 9:30 p.m., said Lt. Roland Chacon of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The 29-year-old man told deputies he was walking along the trail when he was assaulted. He said the men then took several of his belongings.
Deputies searched the area with the help of a helicopter but were unable to find suspects.
The victim declined treatment at a hospital.
